New York City Music - NYC Jazz ClubsProhibitionA laid-back spot to mingle on the Upper West Side. Price: $12-$16 entrees; $4-$5 bottled beer; $6 well drinks
The SceneProhibition: It's not just for the Depression anymore. This popular Columbus Avenue foodrinkery features plenty of seating, a pool table and a high-octane selection of booze that would make Elliot Ness cringe. Though you may be depressed by the sometimes sophomoric crowd and occasional amateurish musical act, there's not many more sites up this way with live music and little pretension. The DrawIt's one of the more civilized singles scenes on the Upper West Side, but beware: That guy picking you up may take you back home to Paramus. Good luck finding a cab tomorrow morning. 503 Columbus Ave |
