The striking 14-foot-high tree is decorated with more than 1,000 brightly colored, intricately folded paper decorations representing objects and specimens in the Museum's collection.

Broadway Holiday Tree
Duffy Square - Broadway at 46th Street
Patty Duke and Tommy Tune and many Broadway stars will help light the tree on Wednesday, December 11 at 5:15pm. The 25-foot white spruce will be decorated with green, red and gold lights and ornaments representing every show and theatre currently playing On and Off Broadway.

Cathedral of St. John the Divine Peace Tree

Commemorate the season of light with a stroll through the Cathedral to see Keith Haring's silver-toned triptych, and the giant Peace Tree, covered with 1,000 paper cranes.

Chorus Tree at South Street Seaport
South Street Seaport, Fulton Street
The beautifully decorated Chorus Tree, with thousands of white lights, will stand over 50 feet tall and this year will feature live performances by The Big Apple Chorus. Friday - Sunday, 6 performances per weekend. Performances last for approximately 45 minutes each. Friday: 6 & 7pm, Saturday and Sunday: 3 & 4pm. Thru Jan. 1

Metropolitan Museum of Art Christmas Tree

A collection of 18th-century Neapolitan angels and cherubs among this 20-ffot tree's boughs and groups of realistic crèche figures flanking the nativity scene are at its base located in the Museum's Medieval Sculpture Hall. A tree lighting ceremony takes place every Friday and Saturday evening at 7pm.
