Honeymoon Stay

My wife and I just got back from a 5 night stay at the SoHo Grand. The location of the hotel in our opinion was excellent. Right in the middle of SoHo and a short walk from Greenwich Village, Tribecca, Little Italy and ChinaTown. The eating and shopping around the hotel was awesome and it was actually relaxtion to stay in that location because we were away from all of the hustle and bustle of midtown. The hotel itself was Ok. The library bar was a hit but the service was overall not that good. We were to have a complimentary bottle of champaign in our room upon arrival but we had to ask for it, room service food was horrible (do not get the pizza) and the pay per views movies in the room did not work along with the floor ice machine. We stayed on the 10th floor but had to walk up to 14 to find a machine that worked. We had an excellent view of the Empire state building which made the room itself even better. The room itself was small but what you would expect from Manhatten. I would stay the hotel again for the location but not for the service. If you want to be pampered go somewhere else but if you want location I would recommend the Grand. Very swany and upscale.
Fantastic!

Having stayed in the penthouse, the wife and I found it to be superb. Room Service, Housekeeping, Desk Clerks, Bar and Restaurant personnel were all personable and cognizant of their duities... the Soho/Tribeca area is very fascinating and it is great to have a Hotel such as the Soho Grand available...
Fantastic package!

Great hotel. The rooms are a little small but you're in NYC! You never spend time in your room anyway! The Sex in the City package was divine. The hotel oozes style....and the area in fantastic. You are one block from Canal Street craziness and one block from cozy neighborhood pubs (Toad Hall). If you want wonderful local flavor then try this hotel. The staff was great also!
