Excellent hotel even in the dark!

Well....a girl's weekend in NYC was starting off just wonderfully and then seven hours later we were in a total blackout! I spent a lot of time researching NYC hotels and tripadvisor.com was the difference in making my decision. I was nervous about booking online, but let me tell you - The Roosevelt Hotel is an excellent hotel. In terms of customer service I have never met such a great bunch of people - from the front desk, to the maid service to the doormen....all of them did everything they could to make our trip enjoyable. In the chaos of the blackout they made our trip an experience we will never forget and I, for one, will make The Roosevelt my home away from home whenever I travel to New York City.....and an added bonus? They make the best apple martini's I've ever had.

My Boyfriend and I Stayed at the Roosevelt For one week, while we visited the awesome city of NEW YORK. When we arrived there were a few problems with the computer systems which caused a bit of a wait but it was worth every minute. The staff were so kind and courteous, and upgraded our room to a KING size bed because of the hassle. The rooms were neat and tidy, and the lobby of the hotel was amazing. We were a short walk from most of the Downtown tourist attractions. Overall we had a great trip and our hotel was wonderful and very affordable.

Recently (1st of Sept) in NYC...for 6 nights at the Roosevelt Hotel. We really liked it. Our room was sort of indented from the street below and was very quiet and clean. One maid kept short sheeting the bed linens but that is the only complaint I can manage. Customer service was foremost with great hints from Gus the Bellman. The bar was pleasant and so was the restaurant. Great little deli's on each side of the hotel. Very centrally located...near Grand Central and walkable to many places. We walked from there (45th) up to the Metropolitan Musem on 79th&5th with ease. Try it...you will like it.
