O.K. but noisy

The hotel responded to an $80 bid on Priceline in 2002. The room was very small but clean. The decor was very hip and the double bed very low to the floor. Given the price and proximity to Lincoln Center, it seemed to be a bargain. The only real problem was the noise. There were people speaking loudly in the halls at all hours of the night. Perhaps as a result of the popular singles bar on the lobby level.
Strange Choice

Everything seems fine if you can tolerate the noise coming out from the air-conditioner in the middle of night, or if you prefer to stay in a tiny room with small TV set and bath tub, or if you would like to be charged for no reason, or if you don't want to have any coffee maker in room, or if you want your head to be blown by the air-conditioner for all night, or if you like impolite staff, or...
Nice Location - Good rate

We went throught Priceline and the Hudson Hotel on W 58th street fell within our price range. Some of the reviews of the Hudson were very negative and we were very apprehensive about our trip, especially because we were spending (5) nights at the Hudson. The hotel turned out to be just great. The rooms are very small but very clean and decor was great. The location was ideal for subway riding plus within walking distance of Times Square. We enjoyed working out in the spacious fitness center in the sub basement. Very close to Central Park and that even made it more enjoyable.I would certainly agree with the rating of 3 stars!
