Great hotel

We stayed at this hotel in early November 2003 and were very pleased with the accommodations. The room was immaculate and pleasant, the beds were quite comfortable, the bedding/floors/bath were all very fresh and clean, and many little extras were included. The neighborhood is quiet at night, which allowed for a good night's sleep away from all the typical traffic and siren noises of NYC. Road construction on some of the surrounding streets made it challenging for cabs to drop us off, but detailed area maps provided at the front desk enabled us to relieve the cabs and easily navigate the last block or two on foot. The heavily guarded Federal Reserve one block East made us feel safe walking at night. Car service (to the airport) arranged by the hotel was very helpful and convenient. Our only disappointment was dinner at the Platinum Cafe - the appetizers were good but the risotto was terrible and the service was rushed.
A Good Buy in Lower NYC

My family needed to be downtown near PACE and this hotel was a good buy. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Rooms are of average size but stocked with extras. Great deal for the money.
Large Room, Large Service

Whenever I think of Holiday Inn, I think of a standard hotel that just barely covers it's end. This place is a definite exeption. It exceeded my expectations 10 fold. 10 fold because it's in New York City and I've heard every horror story there is and I didn't have to experience any of them.My room was aportioned very well, even had an umbrella that I could use in the event I forgot mine. Smelled like I was the first person to stay there and every detail was attended to.Very helpful front desk too, they never got tired of my stupidity which is more than I can say for most. Also 3 blocks from a Subway stop that will get you anywhere in the city.
