Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan hotel description>>

Very Nice Hotel & Service
Reviewer: New York visitor, Granada Hills, California

Booked our trip through a package and selected the Crowne Plaza from their list. Was very pleasently surprised to find the room clean, comfortable and room. The bathroom was a little small. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay at the Crowne Plaza again.

Book a room on the hotel's Club Floor. It comes with a good continental breakfast served in a quiet lounge area on the 46th floor -- you'll appreciate quiet after you've been hanging out on Times Square. The hotel staff isn't particularly friendly but the room was clean. We slept well because on the 44th floor it's hard to hear any street noise. The bathroom was fine except that the hairdryer didn't work. Whatever you do don't eat at Roxy's, a deli very close to the hotel on Broadway, it's outrageously expensive.

Very Good Hotel

We stayed here for 10 days early Oct. I must say the location was even better then I thought. You step outside and you are in Times Square. Upon arrival I asked for a room not near the elevators and a room overlooking Times Square and the friendly girl on reception gladly gave us that without a hassle. The rooms were fine, not like a Vegas Hotel but they were clean and just your typical nice hotel room. The only problem we had started about our 3rd day there, the weather suddenly got cooler so they switch the air-conditioning off in your room. The room became very hot and humid, even though it was quite cool outside. What didn't help was that our window was broken and we could not open it on one side, so we were getting no air. Maintenance fixed the window but it opened about 3 inches from the bottom, so forgot about the air. But apart from this problem the hotel was extremely good. The buffet breakfast is a bit pricey for what you get, I would recommend going to a deli or cafe and getting a decent breakkie for about $3. If you are planning a visit to New York this hotel is perfect, but not if you suffer from humidity!
