The Scene

Comfortably nested in the bottom two floors of a classic brownstone, this full-service spa caters to all creeds and genders from all over the tri-state area. The guest book boasts addresses from the Bowery to the Barrio, from New Jersey to New Bedford, and the African-flavored decor is punctuated by zebra print throw rugs, exotic dried flower arrangements and paintings by African and African-American artists. Classical music plays quietly from hidden speakers as clients are served pastries and spiced teas while they wait.

The Services

In addition to offering a variety of facials, bacials (facial-like treatments for your back) and massages, these skin care specialists attempt to delve beneath the surface to find out how to make your soul whole. Don't be surprised if after coming up with a wellness routine tailored to your needs, your server prays for you or suggests you join her church.
